Supporting Elderly Grandmother Raising Five Grandchildren

Published

At 72, Mama Zulu never expected to be raising five grandchildren. But after her daughter passed away and her son-in-law disappeared, she became the sole caregiver for children aged 4 to 14.

Living on a small pension that barely covered rent, Mama Zulu was struggling to feed the children, let alone pay for school or medical care.

Pamulomo Zed Show stepped in with monthly food support, school fees, and a medical fund for Mama Zulu's own health needs.

The Outcome

All five grandchildren are in school. Mama Zulu's health has improved significantly. The community has set up a rotating support system to ensure the family never goes without.
